Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is designed to protect you against the hazards of traveling, such as medical expenditures, trip cancellation, and lost luggage.

SUPER VISA

The Canadian government created the Super Visa to deal with the backlog of visitors who want to remain longer in Canada. The Super Visa permits for a stay of up to two years with the option of extending it.

Visitors entering Canada must have at least $100,000 in health coverage offered by a Canadian insurance carrier in order to apply for a Super Visa. This ensures that travellers will be able to pay for their medical care if they become ill or injured while in Canada. One must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident to be eligible for a Super Visa.

TRIP INTERUPTION & CANCELLATION

Trip interruption insurance protects you if you become ill, suffer injuries, or die during your trip. Trip
interruption insurance will also cover you if a family member or travel partner becomes ill, hurt or dies after your trip has begun. Depending on the coverage you select, the trip interruption clause in your travel insurance policy may refund you for all or part of the prepaid cost of your trip, or it may only pay enough to cover the change fees for your return flight.

What Is the Difference Between Trip Interruption and Travel Delay Insurance?

Some travel insurance carriers categorise events caused by anything other than illness, accident, or death
as “travel delay” rather than "trip interruption," so you must consider both forms of travel
insurance while researching potential insurance policy options. You may determine that you just require one of these types of insurance, or you may discover that you require both.

If you are confused or unsure, do not hesitate to call us (Choice Travel & Tours) for any queries. It is
far better to clear up questions or concerns before your trip.

MULTI TRIP PLANS-BAGGAGE TRIP INTERRUPTION

Multi-trip travel insurance is typically obtained on a yearly basis. It covers all trips taken throughout the policy
period. It covers, among other things, passport loss, emergency medical bills, and travel cancellation. This is the
best option for persons who take many official trips each year or who want to travel around the world.
